Non native speakers of English who wish to pursue business English in college will need to take the TOEFL test first. The TOEFL measures how well non native English speakers can read, write, speak, and listen to English. The test is accepted by colleges all across the country and is an important first step to a college career. In order to be proficient in business English, students must first have an excellent command of the English language.

English classes for business are taken for a variety of career paths. Students will be wise to study vocabulary before taking the TOEFL test as this is an important element to all parts of the test. Vocabulary is chief ingredient in any language course and students should invest the time and effort to widen their vocabulary in order to achieve success.
